Metal Contraption that brings a pistol into users hands?

OK you ever see like in a movie where the character has one of those tiny pistols in their sleeve and then using some sort of spring loaded mechanism or something the pistol is launched into their hand? What is that thing called? I believe its also used in Shanghai Noon with Jackie Chan and Owen Wilson except Owen Wilson used it to cheat at cards.
