Hermty Dumpty?

I had my hermit crab in a bowl and i turned to go get some lunch and as i walked away i heard a thud and i lookd down and my hermit crab was walking around on the floor! He fell from about 21\2 to 3 feet! If he didnt die when he fell is he going to die later? He is walking around but now he is in his shell!
