What is the equivalent of bogan or chav in the United States?

You can use the word "ghetto" or "gangster" even if the person is not black or hispanic. It's normally used to insult the person though, because most people do not place whites in that category. You could use it to say that they look cool. Anyway, gangster/ghetto is definitely the equivalent of chav.
