Going to dialup from current hi-speed. What should I download , now that I have highspeed for awhile?

I have no option. I will be downgrading to dial-up -- drats! What CRITICAL stuff should I download now, while I have the high-speed, for these next few days? Can the free anti-virus suites suffice for dial-up? Sorry if the questions are vague -- it' s just that I don't want to regret later that I didn't take advantage of the quick download capability while I had it.
